Governor's AIDS Day Message

Friends,

Today, the first of December is being observed universally as the World AIDS Day. We are here as part of the observance, to commit ourselves once again to work in unison to prevent further spread of HIV.

One of the worst ever diseases to torment mankind, AIDS continues to threaten the entire world, spelling doom to the inflicted thousands.

The rapid spread of HIV has ravaged scores of lives.

It is imperative that we expedite our schemes of action against this affliction with much more vigour and determination than ever before.

An international program, the wearing of Red Ribbon Badge symbolizes our HIV and AIDS awareness.

In fact, only through intensive propaganda can we create a deep awareness regarding the extensive damage caused by AIDS.

I would avail this occasion to compliment the Kerala State AIDS Control Society on its efforts in this regard and wish them success.

Thank you

Jai Hind
