District-level Sensitization Program for Police Officers on HIV control


A sensitization program was been conducted for the police officers to make them participate in HIV controlling and resisting activities. The program was organized by KSACS at SP Office in Malappuram.

Around 50 officers ranging from the ranks of Sub-Inspector to Assistant Commissioner of Police participated in the program.

The workshop goals were to ensure the cooperation of the police force in various fields of KSACS including Suraksha projects; develop compassionate approach to HIV positives including those in the force; ensure the availability of treatment for HIV positives and promote voluntary blood donation among police personnel.

Mr.M.Padmanabhan Superintendent of Police inaugurated the workshop
