KSACS is enhancing HIV awareness activities and promotion of voluntary blood donation among youth and college students. As part of this a workshop has been conducted by the KSACS participating the NSS officers of colleges at Renewal Centre, Kaloor, Kochi. Another workshop has also been conducted participating youth representatives.

Anita Sankar, NSS State Liaison Officer inaugurated the workshop organized for the NSS program officers of Government-Aided-Unaided colleges in Ernakulam, Kottayam, Thrissur and Idukki. Classes were taken on subjects like the importance of blood donation, HIV and the activities of the Red Ribbon Clubs by Baby Prabhakar, Senior Program Manager, Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust; Binoj P. Varghese, Counsellor, Jyothis and V. J. Nijo, Youth Affairs Consultant, KSACS respectively.

The workshop which was conducted for around 50 youth club representatives in Ernakulam was inaugurated by S. Satheesh, Zonal Director, Nehru Youth Centre. Ananthasivan, Program Executive, Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust and Moly, District Coordinator, Nehru Youth Centre participated in the workshop
