A workshop was organized by the Kerala State AIDS Control at the Renewal Centre in Kalloor, Ernakulam on July 27, 2009. The workshop was meant for giving shape to a draft plan of action to widen the scope and reach of Red Ribbon Clubs (RRCs) in Kerala. The workshop was attended by N.S.S. program officers from aided and unaided government colleges in Ernakulam, Kottayam, Thrissur and Idukki. The workshop was inaugurated by the State Liaison Officer of N.S.S. Ms. Anitha Sankar.

Senior Program Officer, Hindustan Latest Family Planning Trust, Mr. Baby Prabhakar, Jyothis Counsellor, Mr. Binoj. P Varghese and Youth Affairs Consultant, Mr. Nijo, KSACS conducted awareness sessions on Voluntary blood donation, HIV / AIDS and Activities of RRCs respectively.
