Sensitization programme for police officers on HIV control


Kasaragod: A workshop has been conducted for the police officers to make them participate in HIV controlling and resisting activities. The workshop was organized by KSACS in Kasaragod.


Ensure the cooperation of the police department in various fields of KSACS including Suraksha projects, develop compassionate approach to HIV positives including those in police department, ensure the availability of treatment for them and promote voluntary blood donation among police personnel were the goals of the workshop. Officers from SI to DySP ranks participated in the workshop.


Dr. G. Gopinathan, District Leprosy Officer presided over the workshop. Mr. Ramdasan Pothan, District Police Superintendent inaugurated the program. Classes were taken on various subjects by Dr. G. Gopinathan, Mr. G. Sunilkumar, Mainstreaming Consultant, KSACS, Mr. K. Kunjikrishnan, KDNP Plus Secretary, Mr. P.P. Sunilkumar, Project Manager, PANTECH Suraksha project.
