As part of promoting voluntary blood donation activities KSACS organized a training program for its leaders, the youth wing of Kerala Catholic Churches. Leaders of KCYM from Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Thrissur, and Kasaragod districts participated in the training. A national force of one million blood donors would be formed under the auspices of KCYM.

The training was given aiming at getting the activities to the grass roots level of the organisation. These activities will help in making a great stride in the field of voluntary blood donation in Kerala. Under the auspices of KCYM many blood donation camps have been organised regionally.

The training program inaugurated by Fr. Jayson Kollannur, Director, State, KCYM was presided by Mr. V.J. Nijo, Consultant, Youth Affairs, KSACS. Mr. Muraleedharan, Program Coordinator, HLFPPT welcomed the gathering and Mr. Sibi Joy, Secretary, KCYM offered vote of thanks. Mr. Santhosh Arackal, General Secretary, State, KCYM offered felicitation.
