Onam, the National Festival of Kerala was celebrated by the staff members of KSACS and partner organizations on 18th August 2010 at KSACS. The harvest festival of Kerala is feted with intricately decorated Pookalam (an elaborate and colorful arrangement of flowers laid on the floor), ambrosial Onasadya (Nine Course Strictly Vegetarian Meals), along with cultural fiesta organized by the staff members. Smt. P.K. Sreemathy Teacher, Honorable Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Govt. of Kerala officially inaugurated the merriments of the Day. The Programme was blessed with the presence of Shri. Manoj Joshi, Secretary for Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Kerala, Dr. Usha Titus, Secretary for Social Welfare, Govt. of Kerala, Mr. Suresh Kumar, Additional Secretary for Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. M.K. Jeevan, DHS, Dr. Sridhar, DMO, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. K Shylaja, Project Director, Kerala SACS, Dr. T.V. Velayudhan, Additional Project Director, Kerala SACS and several other prominent personalities of the State.
