RRE is the largest multimedia, multi-sectoral mass mobilization Campaign to mainstream the issue of HIV/AIDS through train. Phase I of this project was carried out in 2007-08 with the direct reach to 6.2 million. Phase II was implemented by NACO in partnership with Railways and NRHM in 2009-10
RRE Phase III was flagged off from Delhi on 12.01.2012. The project primarily focuses on rural areas with the following objectives: |

- Disseminating information regarding primary prevention and services.
- Developing an understanding about the infection to reduce stigma & discrimination against People Living with HIV/AIDS and;
- Strengthening people’s knowledge about the measures to be taken to prevent HIV/AIDS; and
- Adopting preventive health habits and lifestyle

RRE consist of 8 Coaches |

- Coach 1 : Exhibition: Display of educational material primarily on HIV/AIDS, interactive touch screens & 3-D models
- Coach 2: Exhibition: Display of educational material with focus on HIV/AIDS and associated care, support and treatment services
- Coach 3: Exhibition: Display of educational material with special focus on youth
- Coach 4: Exhibition: Display of information on general health, hygiene and communicable diseases such as TB and RCH services (NRHM
- Coach 5: Auditorium cum Conference: It has arrangements for Orientation of selected PRIs, AWWs, SHGs Youth & Women. A group of 60 people can be oriented in 01 batch with 03 sessions planned per day
- Coach 6: Counseling cum Medical Services: It has 06 cabins 04 for Counseling & 02 Doctors Cabin for treatment of STI & RTI.
- Coach 7: Sleeper Coach: In this coach crew members, NACO staff, SACS staff and visitors will be traveling.
